Our Mission

Equality is more than an idea.

Aequitas is here to turn fairness into action across the Alabama School of Healthcare Sciences.

We believe a strong school gives every student a meaningful chance to contribute. That means paying attention to who gets opportunities, whose voice is heard, and who may be left out.

Our goal is not to stand above the ASHS community. It is to work within it and help make the opportunities of this school more equal for everyone.

Aequitas will advocate for fair treatment and will speak up when students are overlooked or treated inconsistently.
Aequitas will promote respectful communication and cooperation, even when students disagree.
Aequitas will support equal access to meaningful school opportunities and encourage participation from across the ASHS community.
Aequitas will not treat leadership as a title. Ideas should become projects, conversations, and measurable improvements.
